Kaze no Kizu!

Lately I’ve taken to watching episodes of Inuyasha while running on the old treadmill. I have a steady supply thanks to Marmy’s who lent me 12 DVDs worth of shows. Subtitled of course … the only way to watch Anime.

However I fear I that my intake of Youkai in fedual Japan has reached its critical mass. This would explain my plans for a Inuyasha themed rock band, complete with costumes and gimick songs.

Yeah … I call dibs on dressing like Shippo!

If It Don’t Work Out

Best quote from The Frontier Index CD release party last night:

“Ladies and Gentlemen, the last great hope of Thunder Bay: Graig Kent!” - Mark from The Parkas

Second best quote:

“Any night where it’s 2:00 AM and I’m not in front of a computer is a good night.” - Jeremiah Newbie

I have to find my General Lee …

I want The Dukes of Hazzard movie to be good. My childhood memories of that show are holding onto every little thread of hope they can find. But the more I see of it the more I worry …

Except for the Jessica Simpson parts. Yes she’s no where near Oscar caliber … but dang woman!

Young man waves his fist at the wind

To the couple I was sharing a picnic table with during lunch,

I am so sorry. I honestly did not expect the wind to be so gusty this afternoon. Had a strong wind come by before, I would have never used my open bottle of water to hold down the newspaper I was reading.

Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. When the wind lifted up the paper and knocked the bottle toward the two of you I tried my best to stop it. Thankfully most of the water splashed harmlessly on the table but I could tell that the two of you were not impressed. A few drops must have fallen on the two of you but you both shrugged it off to the wind and continued on with your conversations.

I cleaned it up as best I could and tried to eat the rest of my lunch in peace but all I could do the entire time was think how to apologize even more then I had already did. So here I am saying sorry once more. You’ll probably never see this but every little bit helps.

The better to see you with my dear.

I have not made a major computer component purcahse in over a year! That has got to be a record for me. Of course I have to remedy that situation by drooling over widescreen LCD displays like these babies. How do you like them apples?

However the LCD screen in the 20″ is the same one that Dell sells. If I can hold out for one of the crazy sales they have I may be able to get one for a relatively reasonable price.

A messenger bag to you Rudy

I have been happily toating around a Yak Pak messenger bag for several years now. Although the one I have right now has a lifetime warranty, it still doesn’t stop me from peeking at their website from time to time. The Railroad looks very nice.

But one of the best deals on that site is their 3 Random Bags for $10 offer. For a thousand pennies you get 3 random bags from their discontinued/prototype stock. I’ve taken advantage of that deal twice and was happily suprised on both occasions.

Did someone say free?!

What’s a Wonderwall anyway?

It pains me to know that my favourite band of all time is in town tonight and I won’t be going to see them.

Okay buddy, here’s the new gameplan when it comes to going to concerts:

  1. Buy tickets first
  2. Figure out who you’re going to go with later

Blarg!

Everyday is a winding road

When you get onto Highway 427, if you stick to the left most lane in the Express route it will take you through the Gardiner Express Way, onto Lakeshore Boulevard, and will let you exit onto Yonge Street. All that without changing a single lane.

Something tells me I need to stop this whole commuting thing.
