No soul-sucking alien ghosts in this movie

While Noods continues to gush about The Seven Swords, allow me to gush over another movie related to the number seven. I’m talking about the DVD movie sequel to Final Fantasy VII, entitled Final Fantasy: Advent Children.

This is the movie every single FF fan was waiting for, the movie that should have been made instead of Spirits Within. All your favourite characters, in your favourite locations, defying gravity and physics with their special attacks. Cool poses, nifty weapons, crazy monsters rampaging through the country side. It had it all and more then you could ask for.

Okay … maybe a better story line, but in light of all that fanboy service, everything is forgiven.

If you’ve never played the game before, don’t bother with the movie. You won’t understand what’s going on, let alone who all these characters are. Do yourself a favour and play the game at least to the 2nd CD. Once you’re hooked and play the rest of the game through, then you can watch this movie and giggle with glee like the rest of us.
