Movie Fundamentals
A list of 101 Movies You Must See Before you … well, die I guess. Think of them as staple movies, films you should know if you want to be “movie-literate” as the author says.
I’d copy the list for you hear but it’s easier to write down which moves from said list I’ve seen, or at least remember enough of the movie to have a conversation about them.
- “A Clockwork Orange” (1971) Stanley Kubrick
- “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” (1982) Steven Spielberg
- “The Empire Strikes Back” (1980) Irvin Kershner
- “GoodFellas” (1990) Martin Scorsese
- “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” (1975) Terry Jones & Terry Gilliam
- “Psycho” (1960) Alfred Hitchcock
- “Pulp Fiction” (1994) Quentin Tarantino
- “The Seven Samurai” (1954) Akira Kurosawa
- “The Wizard of Oz” (1939) Victor Fleming
Looks like I’ll be making use of that movie rental membership after all.
