It includes the sound of one hand clapping

Our man in Japan, Gak has had one of these FM3 Buddha Machines for awhile now. I thought it was so neat that I was tempted to pick up one for myself.

Luckily I stumbled upon this Lifehack article before I put my money down. Looks like FM3 have released the ambient music tracks from the Buddha Machines for free download. I can grab those and my iPod and Bob’s your uncle.

    but doesn’t that sort of defeat the point of it being a buddha machine? its not about the sounds per se but about the appliance that does your ambience for you :)

    If the music is there, but not the machine, do you not still feel calmed?

    Well I was listening to the tracks on random/repeat all afternoon and I felt pretty calm. Does that count?
