Start your morning off with The Top Ten Movie Head Slices. Note to self: Pick up “Ichi the Killer” and “Equilibrium”

I finished God of War recently and was quite satisfied with it. It was a solid blend of action and puzzles with a great presentation you don’t see in many games. I appreciate the moments when the camera pans away from you so you can get a full look at the environment around you. Makes you feel like you are taking part in an epic movie rather then a PS2 game.
Now I am tempted to play the game through again on “God Mode” just to see how difficult it is. There is also the matter of picking up God of War II which should be hitting the used bin at my local EB Games sometime soon. Gotta love gaming on a budget.
I also burned my way through Jade Empire: Special Edition. While the presentation of the game was quite beautiful, gameplay was very lacking. Once you manage to figure out a combination of Attack and Support styles that work for you, all you have to do is continue switching between the two and you can win each battle. I played the second half of the game just using Storm Dragon to shock everyone with an area attack then using the strong hit on my Legendary Strike to complete the Harmonic Combo. Add to the fact that this combo harvests Focus orbs from fallen enemies and you can maintain Focus Mode (i.e.: bullet time) for the entire length of a fight. Near the end of the game I made it through 15 enemies before my Focus meter ran dry. Don’t even get me started on Mirabelle …
I am completely addicted to Desktop Tower Defense. I’ve played games based on similar game play before but this is the most polished version I have seen online. You can keep track of how I’m doing on the Group Scoreboard. Just use the group name “gtabloggers” to view my scores and add some of yours to the board as well.
Next up? Well Boxhead: More Rooms looks promising. Any game promising zombie killing action is worth a shot in my book. A copy of Shadow of the Colossus always catches my eye whenever I go into Best Buy. I may pick that up sometime soon. Any other gaming selections are always welcome.
.An art group decided to create a a giant pink bunny and drop him on the top of an Italian mountain. And when I say drop I mean drop; He was created with his insides spilling out of a wound he received upon the supposed impact. Poor wittle wabbit …
I am hooked on the Death Note anime. The way they present this cat and mouse game between Light and L is spot on. Each one tries to outsmart the other but we never get to really see how until their plans unfold.
When the second season of the show started they made a drastic change to the opening (and closing) credits. The first season had your typical J-Pop accompanied introduction. Second season? Not so much. Well here, let me show you.
At first I was taken aback by the change but now I can’t get enough of it! The song is stupid catchy and the imagery used seems to fit the overall feel of a show where you really are rooting for a mass murderer to win.
”’Bonus:”’ Same intro re-created with scenes from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. Yes the anime that gave you that dance.
Here is a clip pointing out the presence of Pachelbel’s Canon in D it a lot of modern music. Remind me to learn how to play that sequence of chords; I can obviously get a lot of use out of them.
I like a nice looking chunky watch just as much as the next Metrogeek, but this watch from MUSK is gia-normus! Can you imagine wearing that watch around all day? Your one arm would build up so much muscle you’d look like Trogdor!
(And yes that’s two made up words related to size in as many posts. I am Awe-dical!)
I realize starter homes are small but
this is ri-donk-culous!
Toast points out this awesome article on Combination Weapons. I do like the look and feel of a lot of them, sort of Steampunk but taken even further back; Steamdeval perhaps?
Would your city’s mayor do this? I didn’t think so.
