The Mortal Kombat theme song as well
This is not what goes on during a sparring session at my Martial Arts class.
However during a match the background music from this scene will pop into my head every now and then.

I feel like I am forgetting something, but oh well. I’ll sort that out later.
Careful: The song and his voice will be stuck in your head for the next few hours if you watch this video.

Last Saturday L and I found ourselves walking up Spadina around dinner time. I suggested we duck into Kensington Market and try this taco place we passed by on a previous walk about. Not sure of the name we wandered through the Market until we came across a small place on Augusta Avenue called El Trompo. Given the other choices for Mexican food in the Market we decided to give the place a try. I am so glad we did.
I can honestly say that this place served the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life. It felt Mrs. Lopez had sat us down in her kitchen and started making us some classic home cooked meals. Everything we had that evening tasted excellent and authentic, from the refreshing Horcahta to the zesty guacamole. I can’t even begin to explain how good the tacos tasted! Do yourself a favour and try the “Al Pastor” tacos. You won’t regret it.
The last time I had Mexican food like that was my last visit to LA. Over there this kind of food is a dime a dozen, but over here it is so hard to find. I recommend El Trompo to anyone in Toronto looking for a good Mexican place with a home cooked feel. Heck this recommendation is for a good meal in general. Without a doubt this was the best meal I have had in quite some time and I know I’ll be back for more in the near future.
Next time we are there the Horchata is on me!
Turbo beat me to the punch again, but I’ll post it up anyway. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are, we Filipinos love to dance. It could be on the beach, in the middle of the street, or even behind bars, the location won’t stop us from breaking out into a giant organized dance number.
For example, here are the inmates of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
But wait, there’s more! Here they are dancing to Queen’s “Radio Ga Ga”
They also do The Algorithm March from Pythagoras Switch, I Will Follow Him from Sister Act, and Jumbo Hotdog by Masculados!
All these videos were posted by this YouTube user who must have some kind of connection to the Prison. You’ll find a couple more dance clips there as well. Enjoy!
You beat an army, they call you The Street Fighter!
Must. Watch. This. Movie. Period.

Would anyone like to join me in a day at Canada’s Wonderland? I am itching to recreate these photos but I’ll need some accomplices to help me sneak in the chessboard.
Are you with me?

The Five Killers looks very interesting. Japanator nails it on the head when they call it “an animated James Bond movie, which at this point does not look like a bad thing.” Although I can’t help but think of the Fox Force Five when I watch the video, even with only two Foxes on the team.
I worked overtime the entire weekend so not much to report. Instead may I offer up the following video for your entertainment: Legends of the Superheroes: The Challenge!
